Teaching and Facilitating

 

Evelyn has a passion for teaching theatre and has seven years experience facilitating workshops and teaching drama in weekend-based performing arts schools, in Ireland and the UK.  She taught drama at George McMahon's Performing Arts Academy from 2009-2011, before working for Theatretrain while training in the UK.  Evelyn has most recently worked at Stagecoach, where she taught drama at the Dublin South school in Killiney and Dublin North school in Castleknock.  Her work involved preparing students aged 6-18 for Christmas performances, end of term demonstrations and drama exams, as well as instilling confidence and building self-esteem through drama games, theatre exercises and improvisation.

 

Evelyn also has a wealth of experience faciliating workshops and teaching drama and dance to people with learning disabilities.  She has worked extensively in the Dublin and Kildare area, with groups including Maps and Mazes drama group, South Kildare Junior Arch Club, Kildare Down syndrome and South Dublin Arch Clubs.  She regularly teaches with Down syndrome Dublin and the Rainbow 13+ Arch Club.

 

Evelyn runs a very successful series of performing arts camps, Summer Stage, which provide week-long camps in singing, dance and drama for children aged 4-12 years during school holidays.  For more information please visit www.summerstage.ie
